PROJECT'S APPROACH

The project aims at strengthening the resilience of territories to climate change through better integrated management of agro-ecosystems, water, food and energy (Nexus WEFE approach).

The WEFE Nexus aims to consider together the challenges facing a region in terms of Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems. This approach provides a systemic view of the challenges facing a region, allowing analysis of the dynamics of its various sectors, the stakeholders involved, and the cooperation or tensions that arise. This framework helps to cross-reference the perceptions of the different actors with a view to acting together.

The project will rely on these different steps to achieve its main objective:

01-   Diagnosis of the territory

02-   Co-construct Nexus integrated solutions

03-   Share experiences within and between sites

04-   Test and assess the solutions

05-   Scale-up the solutions within and beyond sites
