Project's objectives

• Identify existing and potential solutions to co-design and evaluate combined-solutions to increase the resilience of the territories for the Nexus elements: Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems.
• Integrate the knowledge and needs of stakeholders to design and evaluate combinations of technical, organisationaland institutional solutions tailored to each territory.
• Set-up demonstration sites (DS) to test solutions. Share results between different sites and disseminate them to other territories. Produce concrete recommendations for improving public policies.
• Assess the potential for scaling up the project results in the Western Mediterranean region.

Expected outcomes

• Participatory and local approach: co-construct local and sustainable solutions.
• Integrated, effective solutions: better management of water, energy food and ecosystems.
• Support for local stakeholders: support farmers, young people, SMEs towards sustainable practices.
• Tools for decision-makers: promote transparent resource governance
• More resilient territories: provide examples to inspire other Mediterranean territories.
